PRODUCT USAGE & FUNCTIONS

Plastic Concrete Chair Spacer is designed as a spacer for Reinforcement Bar in Concrete Structures. It is commonly used to lift/ support steel rebar (BRC) during casting of concrete slabs with various thickness. Specially designed to accommodate steel rebar (BRC) below 9mm and it installed in between a four-way crossing welded steel mesh.

ADVANTAGES

  • Steel bar will be securely fastened/locked on the head of our Heavy Duty Bar Chair during the casting of concrete slab. Our unique design also ensures that the Steel Bar fits perfectly on the head of our Heavy Duty Bar Chair being dislodge during casting process.

  • Our product is heat resistance as we have carried out heat resistance lab test showing that our product retain its shape after being exposed to 50℃ for 30 days.

METHOD STATEMENT

  1. Please consult site consultant to ensure the thickness of the concrete slab and the size of steel bar.
  2. Choose a suitable plastic bar chair spacer profile that fits the requirement.
  3. Check and make sure that the steel rebar (BRC) support are installed completely at the designated area.
  4. Lift the steel rebar (BRC) support and place the bar chair underneath.
  5. Adjust the bar chair in a perpendicular direction with steel rebar (BRC) support.
  6. Space out the bar chair at every interval of approximate 1 meter. Please consult the site consultant to ensure that the bar chair is correctly installed underneath the steel rebar (BRC).
  7. Once the bar char is securely fastened with the steel rebar (BRC), pour ready-mixed concrete to the designated area to the required thickness. Concrete vibrator is required to prevent hollowness of concrete slab.
